National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032

The National Plan puts in place a national policy framework to guide the work of governments, policy makers, businesses and workplaces, specialist organisations and family, domestic and sexual violence organisations and workers in addressing, preventing and responding to gender-based violence in Australia.

Queensland’s Plan for the Primary Prevention of Violence Against Women 2024–2028

Primary prevention means stopping violence against women from occurring in the first place by addressing its underlying drivers.

This Plan provides a blueprint for government, working in partnership with the broader community, to strengthen and expand efforts to prevent violence against women through the development and implementation of initiatives that target the underlying drivers of this violence.

Domestic and Family Violence Common Risk and Safety Framework

The Framework has been developed for use by government and non‑government community service agencies, as well as community members, businesses, and others who may come into contact with people experiencing domestic and family violence. It articulates a shared understanding, language, and common approach to recognising, assessing, and responding to domestic and family violence, and offers fact sheets on best practice approaches. The Framework is evidence‑based and has been developed through a co‑design process with key stakeholders across Queensland.

Domestic and Family Violence Information Sharing Guidelines

These Guidelines are intended to support practitioners and others to make informed decisions about sharing information appropriately in order to assess and manage domestic and family violence risk. It aims to provide practical guidance on the interpretation and application of the information sharing provisions to promote consistent responses that help to keep the victim‑survivor safe and hold the person using violence to account.

Domestic and Family Violence Training and Change Management Framework

This Framework takes a whole-of-system approach. Its guidance applies to organisations ranging from specialist DFV services to hospital emergency departments, veterinarian clinics and sport and recreation organisations. It provides advice for staff and volunteers working in roles involving direct service delivery and engagement with community members to organisational leaders and those working in policy and program development, human resources, research, and procurement.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action Plan 2023–2025

This 3-year Action Plan is fundamental to addressing Target 13 of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap – By 2031, the rate of all forms of family violence and abuse against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children is reduced by at least 50%, as progress towards zero.

The Action Plan defines shared decision-making, leadership, accountability, transparency and mechanism to transitions for funding to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and capacity building as well as being community-led.

Supervision Resource Guide - Supervising Men's Domestic Violence Perpetrator Intervention Group Programs

This Supervision Resource Guide, developed in partnership with YFS Logan, is to be adapted to suit the needs of your organisation. This guide is to be seen as an additional layer of supervision that can complement existing organisational or clinical supervision, providing direction on the live observation demands of domestic violence perpetrator intervention group work space. Supervisors with practice experience doing this work, provide critical insight for facilitators to help with their own skill development and engagement with the work.
